I’m a wife, mom, educator and lifelong animal lover, a small-family breeder, and children’s book author, who has spent decades surrounded by classrooms, critters, and kids with big imaginations. Whether I'm raising miniature dachshunds, writing a new story, camping with my family, or helping my own children chase their creative sparks, my days are full of the moments that later become the books, journal pages, and products you see here.
T’s Haven grew from a simple idea:

I am Terri Buckley, a writer and lifelong animal lover who finds inspiration in nature, quiet moments, and the loyal companionship of pets. My days are often guided by simple routines that bring comfort and clarity, from early walks with wagging tails to slow mornings spent writing, reflecting, and observing the world around me.
My work grew from a desire to create a calm space for people who love animals, appreciate the outdoors, and seek a life with more gratitude and connection. I believe that meaning is built in small moments. A warm cup of coffee, a peaceful trail, a journal page filled at the end of the day, and the steady presence of a beloved pet can shape a life that feels full and genuine.

As an Author
Writing has always been a meaningful part of my life. I view books as companions, Educator, and quiet guides that help us understand the world and our place within it. Through both children’s literature and reflective non-fiction, I focus on themes that matter: emotional growth, curiosity, resilience, and the everyday moments that shape us.
My children’s books are designed to support young readers as they learn, explore, and discover their voice. I believe stories have the power to build confidence, strengthen imagination, and help children understand the world in a positive and empowering way. Each character, lesson, and scene is created with intention, encouraging learning that feels natural and joyful.
